A Self-Help Alternative Healing Workshop
Are you or someone you know trying to recover from rape, sexual assault, racist attacks or other violence including from the police or within the military, or from the trauma of Hurricane Katrina & being refused life sustaining resources?
This workshop will introduce alternative methods of healing as well as give vital information on how women and low-income communities are organizing against rape and violence in SF and around the world.

Techniques for healing
● Homeopathy a 100 year old safe and affordable healing system can effectively treat trauma, violence and abuse ● Intro to special breathing (Chi Gong), yoga and holistic nutrition.
Campaigns for justice
Update on a mother’s fight for justice for her son killed by the police and how other mothers are organizing for police accountability in the Black community ● Info on victim compensation and domestic violence and disability exemptions from welfare to work requirements ● Update on SF Board of Supervisors resolution prioritizing protection of sex workers from violence over prosecution.
The In Defense of Prostitute Women’s Safety Project (IDPWS) is an anti-sexist, anti-racist independent community resource that provides legal advice and other support for prostitute women who have been raped and/or sexually assaulted and builds public awareness campaigns on violence against sex workers and to implement the City’s resolution calling for the protection of sex workers over prosecution. IDPWS is a project of US PROStitutes Collective and Legal Action for Women.
This event is in collaboration with Idriss Stelley Foundation(ISF). Direct services to Victims (their families and friends) of law enforcement. ISF is launching a Transgender Task Force and Street Workers Task Force Against Police Abuse.
