US PROS Collective
The US PROStitutes Collective (US PROS) is a multiracial network of women who work or have worked in different areas of the sex industry. Founded in 1982, US PROS campaigns for the decriminalization of prostitution and for justice, protection and resources so that no woman, young person or man is forced into prostitution through poverty or violence.

My name is Laura Savio and I’m a recent graduate of UC Irvine. I am a mixed Asian-American who is passionate about research, advocacy, and policy development that aims to end gender-based violence. Prostitution is a topic area I am deeply interested in. As a youth intern at Fremont’s Safe Alternatives to Violent Environments, I got my first insight to the world of domestic violence prevention. Ever since then, I have been dedicated to the cause of anti-violence. As a survivor of family and relationship violence myself, I am dedicated to helping those impacted by the systems of patriarchy, white supremacy, and institutional violence seek justice through innovative methods that extend beyond our current legal and social services.
